Practical Info

When and where is the festival?+
The IAMG Book Festival takes place October 16–18, 2026 at the IAMG downtown campus in New York City. Doors open 10:00 daily; the Lit Crawl runs Saturday night from 20:00 to midnight.
Is the festival free?+
Yes. General admission is free and open to the public. Paid add-ons include the Weekend Fast-Pass, VIP All-Access, individual Masterclasses and Lit Crawl wristbands.
How do I get to the campus?+
Public transit is strongly encouraged. The nearest transit hubs and a full transportation map are published two weeks before the festival on this page.
Is there parking?+
Limited on-street parking is available near the campus. VIP All-Access includes a reserved parking option, first-come first-served.
Are there lockers?+
Coat check and small lockers are available at the main entry tent. Large bags are not permitted inside programmed tents.

Tickets & Passes

Do I need a ticket for the main stages?+
No — General Admission is free. A Weekend Fast-Pass gets you reserved seating and priority signing lines. VIP All-Access includes every masterclass plus lounge access.
How do I order tickets?+
Use the Tickets page. Pick how many of each pass you want, add a support amount, and check out. All confirmations are emailed instantly.
Can I refund or transfer a ticket?+
Passes are refundable up to 14 days before the festival and transferable at any time by emailing our box office.
Do masterclasses sell out?+
Yes — most fill within the first week of sale. VIP All-Access guarantees a seat in every masterclass.

Access & Safety

Is the campus accessible?+
Yes. All main stages, tents and signing lines are wheelchair accessible. ASL interpreters are provided on the Main Stage and can be requested for any session with 72 hours notice.
Is there a clear-bag policy?+
Yes — all guests use a clear bag for entry. This speeds up security screening and keeps the campus safe.
Are pets allowed?+
Only service animals are permitted on the campus grounds.
What is the code of conduct?+
IAMG maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination. The full Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment policy is posted at every entry and on the About page.
Are there first-aid stations?+
Two staffed medical tents are on-site all weekend, plus roaming medics. Look for the green cross flags.

How do I submit an author or book?+
Book submissions for programming consideration are open in the summer through the Programs page. Selection is curated by the IAMG editorial committee.
I'm a journalist — how do I get press credentials?+

Volunteer applications open in July on the Support page. Volunteers receive a festival jersey, meals and swag.
